For the past five years, Subaru has partnered with the American Association for the Advancement of Science to uphold its Subaru Loves Learning initiative that benefits education nationwide. In the five-year partnership with AAAS, which started in 2015, Subaru has managed to collect and distribute over 187,000 award-winning science books to schools across the country. The Subaru Loves Learning initiative has united Subaru retailers with AAAS members to expand access students have for learning about science-related topics.

With the fifth year of the Subaru-AAAS partnership in full swing, more than 540 Subaru retailers are participating in donating award-winning science books to nearby K-12 schools. Every donated book was either a winner or finalist on the list of AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books. All these reading materials specialize in educating and engaging young readers, which makes them such an asset to local schools. Science is the focus of the initiative due to the rapid growth in the job market surrounding the areas of science, engineering, technology, and mathematics.

If you live in Dubuque or nearby Manchester and want to participate, contact Riley Subaru. During August, you can request to donate a science book and even add a special note with a personalized bookmark to inspire the young student who reads it. The goal of this partnership is encouraging students to prepare for their future career paths.
